Does my chapter have a scholarship established through the TKE Foundation?

Yes, all chapters are offered a scholarship fund through the TKE Foundation. Scholarships established before April 2016 must reach a $5,000 fund balance and scholarships established after April 2016 must reach a $10,000 fund balance to be awarded each fiscal year.

How can I view the balance of my chapter’s scholarship?

Please visit TKE.org/ChapterScholarships for a listing of active scholarships and current award amounts. The authorized scholarship amount is determined by the fund balance as of May 31 each year. Scholarship funds can also be viewed in your Chapter Module.

How do I apply for chapter scholarships?

Chapter scholarships are administered and awarded on a chapter-by-chapter basis. Please contact your Chapter Advisor or other alumni volunteer to inquire about your chapter’s application process and award procedures. Members interested in applying for Grand Chapter scholarships may complete the application at TKE.org/Scholarships.

How can my chapter award its scholarship?

Chapters must submit a scholarship authorization form approved by an alumni volunteer to Foundation@TKE.org by May 15.

What is the deadline to award chapter scholarships?

The deadline to submit chapter scholarship paperwork is May 15.

The deadline to submit a Grand Chapter scholarship application is March 15.

Why is my chapter’s scholarship not awardable this year?

Chapter scholarships that are not available to award did not meet the minimum fund balance requirements as of May 31. Scholarships established before April 2016 must reach a $5,000 balance, and scholarships established after April 2016 must reach a $10,000 balance to be awardable.

How can I apply for Grand Chapter scholarships?

To apply, please complete the application at TKE.org/Scholarships by March 15.

When are scholarships awarded each year?

Grand Chapter scholarships are awarded each May. Chapter scholarships may be awarded throughout the academic year with the deadline to submit scholarship paperwork being May 15.

Are scholarships available to Tekes enrolled in a graduate program?

Select scholarships are offered to Tekes enrolled in graduate school. To be eligible, you must be in good standing with your chapter and university. To view preferred award criteria, please visit TKE.org/Scholarships.

Are there specific requirements I must meet to be eligible for a scholarship?

Scholarship applicants must be collegiate members in good standing. Scholarship criteria varies for each award, and award applicants are paired with scholarships they are eligible to receive based on their application. To view preferred award criteria, please visit TKE.org/Scholarships.

Is there a separate application for each award?

No, by completing the online application at TKE.org/Scholarships, you will be considered for all available Grand Chapter awards.

General Questions

What is the difference between scholarships and Special Projects Funds

Scholarships support the academic success of individual members by providing funding to offset educational expenses. Special Projects Funds aid the educational needs of chapters by offsetting member registration costs for Regional Leadership Conferences and Conclave and supporting educational housing projects.

How can my chapter increase its scholarship fund to an awardable amount?

A direct donation link for your chapter’s scholarship and Special Projects Funds can be found at TKE.org/ChapterScholarships. We encourage chapters to share this donation link in their chapter and alumni correspondence. Our Foundation is pleased to provide additional assistance with creating customized messaging for your chapter. To get started, please contact Foundation@TKE.org.

How will I receive my scholarship funds?

Scholarship checks and award packets are mailed to chapter and Grand Chapter scholarship recipients. Please allow up to 14 business days for processing.

Where can I submit a thank you note to my scholarship donors?

Scholarship recipients are encouraged to send a typed thank you note to Foundation@TKE.org or a handwritten note to the address below:

Thank you notes should be addressed "Dear Frater" and will be forwarded on your behalf to the donor(s) who made your scholarship possible.

Can I receive multiple scholarships?

Yes, collegiate members are eligible to receive both a chapter and Grand Chapter scholarship in the same academic year.
