Fifty-Seven Fraters Graduate 2025 The William V. Muse Alumni Volunteer Academy
The William V. Muse Alumni Volunteer Academy graduated fifty-seven Fraters last weekend (June 6-7). Volunteers from around the TKE Nation were participants in presentations, leadership panels, educated on trends within the Fraternal world, grew their leadership skills, and networked during their time at the OnGateway Event Center near the Atlanta International Airport.
Named for Frater William V. Muse (Epsilon-Upsilon, Northwestern State University), esteemed Frater and former President of Auburn University, the AVA focuses on alumni skill development. The program champions the "Fraternity for Life" motto, as it challenges attendees to not only drive TKE chapters to excellence, but to evolve engagement and participation of our alumni Fraters.
"Spending two days collaborating with our key leaders was incredibly impactful and essential to advancing our mission. Aligning our Professional Staff and Volunteers not only elevates the member experience but also unites us as one team, building a true Culture of Champions," said Greg Roskopf, Chief Risk Officer (Zeta-Zeta, Wisconsin-Milwaukee).
The curriculum encompassed a variety of topics including Why Volunteers Matter, Chapter and Province Performance, and an in-depth look into every aspect of TKE operations.
"Our TKE alumni volunteers play a vital role in sustaining, strengthening, and expanding the success and experience of our collegiate chapters," said TKE CEO Frater Donald E. Aldrich (Rho-Upsilon, Franklin). "The Alumni Volunteer Academy provided an exceptional opportunity to build stronger connections, share knowledge, and collaborate with our dedicated and talented alumni leaders as we prepare for the year ahead."
The AVA aims to cultivate and develop emerging and veteran alumni leaders alike within the Fraternity. The multi-faceted training program allows participants to learn from presenters and their peers in how they can effectively influence success in the chapters they serve.
Frater Muse once said, "There is nothing on a university campus that presents as significant an opportunity for leadership development, character formation, and the cultivation of skills that will be important in career advancement as does membership and active participation in college fraternal organizations. When experienced to its fullest, there is hardly any better preparation for the challenges of life after graduation."
