Frater Allen Derr Enters Chapter Eternal

 

BOISE, ID - Frater Allen Derr (Alpha-Delta, University of Idaho), former Editor of The Teke Magazine, passed into the Chapter Eternal of TKE June 10, 2013, at the age of 85.

Derr, an Attorney from Boise, won a historical case in 1971; The U.S Supreme Court ruled to strengthen anti-discrimination protections for women. Derr was prominently known through the TKE Nation as the person who created “Allenderr’s Calendar” which featured TKE Sweethearts in calendar form, and took popularity polls among the chapters. This creation was the foundation to what is now the TKE International Sweetheart Scholarship. Frater Derr is a Knight of Apollo and was recognized as Teke Alumnus of the Year in 2000.

Frater Derr’s contributions to Tau Kappa Epsilon and his profession, will endure long testament to the principles by which he lived; Charity, Esteem, and Love.

His memorial service will be held on July 31, 2013 in Boise, Idaho.
