2017 International Sweetheart, Loya VanOrder
Indianapolis - The Offices of the Grand Chapter is proud to announce Tau Kappa Epsilon's 2017 International Sweetheart, Loya VanOrder.

Loya is the representative of Beta-Eta Chapter at Missouri University of Science & Technology. She is a junior with a 3.92 GPA and is majoring in business and management systems. Loya is a Hagan Scholar, was on the spring/fall 2016 dean’s list, and received the Investment Reality Scholarship for fall 2016 – spring 2017. She is Director of Public Relations for the MS&T Solar House Design Team, 2016–2017 Trip Leader for Miner Challenge, Fraternity Education Chair for Zeta Tau Alpha, and Small Project Lead for Habitat for Humanity. She is a monthly volunteer for Phelps County Food Distribution and is involved in MST’s Out ‘til Midnight for St. Jude and Be The Match registry drive.   

Loya said in her application, ”My love for Tau Kappa Epsilon and the men has grown to mean something that will last far beyond the years of college. … The true brotherhood that has remained throughout TKE since 1899 is what I believe to be an example to all of those who want to build a better world, including me.”
