Frater Tim Taschwer Enters Chapter Eternal

Indianapolis, Ind – It is with great sadness that the Offices of the Grand Chapter Announces the passing of Frater Tim Taschwer (Epsilon-Nu, Wisconsin-Stevens Point).

Frater Taschwer served in many roles as a member of TKE. He was Prytanis of his home chapter in 1963, an Alumni Association President, Regional President, Board of Advisors Chair, and participated in several committees. Frater Tim was a Knight of Apollo, working at the TKE Foundation from 1995 to 2005. Frater Tim led the TKE Foundation from 1997-2005. He was the recipient of the Key Leader Award, the Triangle Award, TEF Fraternity for Life Award, and in 2013 was selected as an Order of the Golden Eagle recipient.

Even after his time at the TKE Foundation, Frater Taschwer was committed to give back to the Fraternity he loved dearly. In the article “Why Fraters Like You Give”, Frater Tim noted how he became a Teke. “I had that ‘Aha’ moment the moment I stepped in my dorm room as a freshman and saw a TKE flag displayed. It’s been a part of me ever since.” Amongst his many selfless acts, Frater Taschwer established a scholarship in his name that is awarded to a collegiate member each year.

Upon hearing Frater Taschwer’s passing, TKE and TKE Foundation CEO Donald E. Aldrich said, “Frater Taschwer was a dedicated Teke who impacted TKE greatly and worked diligently to improve the TKE Foundation, setting it toward a path of its current growth. He will be deeply missed.”

May Frater Tim Rest in Peace in the Chapter Eternal.

In remembrance of him and his dedication to the TKE Foundation, we invite you to contribute and uphold his legacy of giving.
